Rebecca’s Update, February 11, 2010
It was fantastic to see so many new people turn up to debrief the da Vinci sound project and plan for the upcoming University of Guelph project. Thanks to CFRU for actively recruiting people for this! The feedback via surveys and emails from the teenagers in the da Vinci project was very positive, a lot of fantastic outcomes including learning more about the Guelph Arboretum through sound, learning more about the da Vinci community through sound and great skills and interest development. A key comment was that they would have preferred less talking about and more learning from doing, something we intend to take on for the Guelph project. The team had great ideas for Guelph. It was decided we would run a weekly, informal, drop in session at Guelph to accommodate the students, staff etc changing timetables and focus on three main areas, recording, editing and composing.
